This policy describes cookies and similar technologies that may be used on Champography. The current public explorer is designed to work without non-essential first-party cookies.

What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored by a browser. Similar technologies include local storage, pixels, web beacons, and identifiers sent with network requests. They can support essential functions, remember preferences, measure usage, prevent abuse, or deliver advertising.
Current Champography status
Map resources
When the map loads, the browser may request map styles, tiles, fonts, or sprites from the configured provider. Those requests can disclose ordinary technical request information to the provider. Champography does not use the browser's geolocation permission to center the map.
If advertising is enabled
Advertising providers may use cookies or similar identifiers to select, deliver, limit, personalize, and measure advertisements. Before those tags are activated, Champography will:
- identify the provider and purposes in this policy and the Privacy Policy;
- provide the required consent or privacy-choice interface;
- avoid loading non-essential tags before consent where required;
- provide applicable opt-out and ad-personalization links;
- update the status table above.
For Google advertising, users can manage ad personalization through Google's Ads Settings.
Managing browser storage
Most browsers allow cookies to be viewed, blocked, or deleted through their settings. Blocking all cookies can affect some websites, although the current Champography historical explorer is designed not to depend on non-essential cookies.
